Aventura, Florida:

Located 15 miles north of downtown Miami, Aventura is a beautiful and upscale city that ranks among the best places in the U.S. for observant Jews. Within two miles of Young Israel are three Kosher supermarkets, 11 Kosher restaurants (four in the shopping center adjacent to the synagogue) and two Jewish bookstores.  Most may be accessed via the free Aventura Express shuttle bus.

Aventura boasts the lowest property tax rate of any city in Miami-Dade County.  All types of housing (condominiums, rental apartments, single-family homes and townhouses) are in walking distance of the synagogue and within the Aventura Eruv.  The local hospital - a mile away - has a Chessed room (kosher food) and a Shabbos elevator.

Young Israel’s membership includes both permanent and seasonal residents (snowbirds).

In addition, YIA hosts holiday celebrations for Chanukah and Purim, and group outings to cultural events in the Miami area.
